Mason and Madeline Working the Garden

Learning how to plant green beans and cucumbers.

Madeline loves digging in the dirt! She is very meticulous about covering the green bean seeds with the same dirt she excavated.

Madeline in the bluebonnets

Tip-toeing through the "bluebonnets"......

Madeline twirling in her tutu and soaking up the sun!
Ain't life grand - especially with candy in your hand?

What could be sweeter? Madeline or her big lollipop!

Snake Hunting and Cow Punching

Nana and Mason went to the creek for a little "minnow hunting" - found this snake swimming around instead. Mason is learning a lot about nature hanging out at the ranch.
Mom, this snake is ready for the boot factory!

Measured almost 3 feet.

Mason herding cattle out of Nana's yard!

Little man with a big stick.....

Building the Pond

Wes driving the tractor across the dam.

Standing in the bottom of the pond - the picture doesn't show exactly how deep - guessing 12-15 feet! Waiting for God to fill it, so we can stock it for a little fishing. Ken, bring your fishing pole and spend a little time out here!
Madeline has requested a "beach", so Grandpa is bringing in the sand for her walk-in beach. Christen, bring your bikini, beach towel and suntan lotion!

God answered - filled the pond in only one day of rain! Glad He didn't tell us to build an ARK! Wes planted bermuda grass on the dam - guess that will be something else to mow! We're planning lots of fun times picnicking and fishing with the family, and just watching the deer drink from the new pond.
